Testimonials

  • I wanted to send you a letter of commendation, which is a true compliment to the level of quality that BRAWCO has provided us for 20 years. The quality of your organization and how it operates is evident in the field but also in everything that BRAWCO does, from providing pre-construction assistance to following up on action items that need resolution

Everyone in your company has a "can do" attitude when it comes to building our projects. We are grateful for the long relationship between our two companies and for the great work that you have done for us over the years. We definitely look forward to many more of those years.

W.D. Lynn Jones, Senior Project Manager, Brasfield&Gorrie

  • This letter is in regard to the Auburn University Haley Center East and West Exterior Concrete Stairs Repair project. We (LBDY) served as the prime consultant on this project. There were numerous places on both concrete stairs that exhibited severe cracking and spalling concrete. Many of these areas had been temporarily covered with plywood to prevent pieces from falling.

The project involved removing and repairing spalled concrete, routing and sealing of cracks, caulking joints, adding deck coating on landings, and applying a protective coating to concrete pylons. Some of the project challenges included having to leave portions of the stairs and landings open for public access at all times, working at night to minimize disturbance to building occupants, and meeting a tight schedule. The work started after the spring semester ended and was completed as the fall semester was getting underway.

BRAWCO's project management was organized and thorough throughout the project. The field supervision and work force were professional and very cognizant of students. BRAWCO's field superintendent kept LBYD and Auburn University up to date of project progress and of any unforseen conditions. BRAWCO also kept a clean and well barricaded work area in the middle of one of Auburn University's busiest classroom buildings.

BRAWCO's effort, attention to detail, and awareness of students around them made this project a success.

Brad Christopher, P.E., President, LBDY Civil and Structural Engineers
